The Special Education Advisory Council is a group of parents and professionals charged by federal special education law and the State to provide policy guidance with respect to special education and related services for children with disabilities within the Commonwealth. As part of the state accountability system, the Department of Public Instruction (DPI) produces report cards for every publicly funded school and district in Wisconsin. These Accountability Report Cards include data on multiple indicators for multiple years across four Priority Areas (Student Achievement, Growth, Closing Gaps, and On-track and Post-secondary Success).
This report responds to the legislative charge to evaluate the efficacy of districts’ plans for realizing the goals of the Achievement and Integration program. It highlights data submitted by school districts following implementation of their Achievement and Integration plans during the , , and school years, respectively. Show-Me Success. It is also our goal to remain compliant with all federal education accountability requirements within the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) and state requirements to report student achievement, school climate, and financial efficiency data.
